Arriva Midlands

Former Hinckley Optare Solos have transferred as follows; 2402 2403 2410 to Telford, 2408 to Aylesbury, 2409 to Tunbridge Wells, and 2570 withdrawn. 2525 has transferred in from Thurmaston. Another Temsa Safari at Hinckley from Luton is 7104, for the X6 service.

Wright Streetlites 3300, 3313 and 3314, and VDL SB100/Wright Pulsar 2s 3774-3776 have all transferred from Hinckley to Thurmaston. DAF DB250/ALX400s 4803 and 4806 are planned for withdrawal when recently transferred in Volvo B9TL/Optare Olympus 4106, 4111 & 4112 enter service (these had been at Thurmaston). Of note 4111 and 4112 have recently been repainted into ‘Journey Mark’ livery. Loaned ADL Enviro 400 MMC 4545 has returned to Thurmaston.

Scania Omnilink 3506 has transferred to Aylesbury from Tamworth. VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 3785 has transferred to Telford from Thurmaston, as a replacement for now withdrawn DAF SB200/Wright Commander 3740, which had been based at Cannock before the operation was sold.

At Oswestry, Optare Versa 2985 has been repainted into ‘Journey Mark’ livery.

Diamond

Another MAN/Plaxton Centro to reenter service here following battery electric conversion and repaint is 30804.


East Yorkshire

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 975, which had been on loan here and based at Elloughton, was returned to Oxford Bus Company on 2nd November 2021.

Megabus/Scottish Citylink

We have now received confirmation that former Oxford Tube Van Hool Astromegas 50270/271 are stored at Stagecoach East Scotland’s Dunfermline depot with similar 50272/73 at Aberhill depot.

Volvo B11R 54217 has returned to the main operational fleet with Stagecoach Midlands at Rugby.

Van Hool ‘Citylink Gold’ 50305 is out of service at Stagecoach West Scotland whilst Van Hool Astromega 50249 (also at Stagecoach West Scotland) has been sold.


Midland Classic

Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 77 (YN05GXP) has been sold out of this fleet.


National Express West Midlands

Latest repaints here are ADL Enviro 200 758 at West Bromwich, and Scania Omnilinks 1796 at Acocks Green, 1833 at Perry Barr and 1835 at Walsall.

Long stored former Coventry Trident/ALX400 4221 has been sold for private preservation, whilst recently withdrawn 4321 has been donated to the Wythall Transport Museum. Former Coventry Volvo B7TL/ALX400 4422 is another sent for scrap.

Wolverhampton based ADL Enviro 400 5403 has returned here from straight diesel conversion at East Yorkshire‘s Scarborough depot. Perry Barr based ADL Enviro 400 MMC 6114 has lost its living wage employer branding.

Another Wright Streetdeck FCEV to receive red based branding is H1009, whilst H1017 (BX21DDN) and H1018 (BX21DDV) have been delivered.

Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire

The start of the low-season Winter timetable has seen a number of vehicles transferred into the Reserve Fleet. Optare Solos now for disposal are 47014 from Kendal and 47452 from the Reserve Fleet at West Cumbria. Volvo B10M/Alexander PS 20711 has been sold.


Stagecoach East

Following service changes on 24th October 2021, Enviro 400s 19568/574/579/580/582/583/584 have been transferred from Cambridge to Bedford, with 19594/597 moving from Peterborough to Bedford. Reports reach us that Enviro 400 19573 at Bedford has become the first of the type here to receive Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery.

Further Volvo B11R/Plaxton Elite coaches have left the fleet with 54303/312/313/314/315/317 departing on 26th October 2021 for Stagecoach East Scotland, with 54302/311/316 following on 6th November 2021. It would appear that standard Enviro 400s are now being used on the 99 Milton Keynes-Luton Airport service with Enviro 400MMCs now diagrammed for the X5 Bedford-Oxford. A mixture of Enviro 400s and Enviro 400MMCs are being used on the 905 Bedford-Cambridge service.

Following service reductions in Peterborough Enviro 200s 37216 and 37218 are transfers to Cambridge whilst 36061 has moved from Fenstanton to Cambridge.

Further Bedford-allocated Enviro 400MMCs reported to have received all-over amber livery are 10875 and 10881.

On loan from Stagecoach South East are Mercedes- Benz Sprinters 44019 and 44020, which are allocated to the ‘ting’ West Hunts DRT operation at Fenstanton.

Stagecoach East Midlands

Repainted into Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery are Enviro 400s 19054 and 19060, Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse-Urban 21213, and Enviro 200s 37004 and 37205, whilst now in ‘Specialist’ livery is MAN/Enviro 300 24196.

Reserve Fleet Trident/Plaxton President 18023 has moved to the main fleet at Lincoln displacing 18022 into Reserve. Likewise Enviro 200 36059 is back in the main fleet at Lincoln with 36706 taking its place in the Reserve Fleet. Other Reserve Fleet vehicles back in the main fleet are Trident/ALX400 18122 at Lincoln and Dart SLF 35137 at Worksop. Of note Enviro 400 19092 returned to service at Grimsby last week.

Stood down into the Reserve Fleet at Scunthorpe is Volvo B7TL/East Lancs Vykings 16907, with Enviro 200 36058 moving from the Reserve Fleet to the main fleet at Scunthorpe.

Of note, ‘Local’ liveried Trident/ALX400 18122 reentered service at Lincoln (finally) on 10th November 2021. The following day (11th November) it was involved in an accident, there were no major injuries, and the vehicle has only received minor damage from what we understand. It is currently parked at Lincoln depot.

Joining similar 24197 in ‘Specialist’ livery, 24196 has become the second Hull MAN/Enviro 300 to be repainted into Stagecoach ‘Specialist’ livery for the city’s Park & Ride route. © Ian Knott.


Stagecoach East Scotland

Perth-allocated Trident 18015 has been severely damaged after catching fire. Repainted into Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery is Enviro 300 27908.


Stagecoach Manchester

Reserve Fleet Trident/ALX400s 18357, 18360, 18440 and 18441 are currently stored at Wigan, whilst similar 18385 is at Middleton.

Wigan allocated Enviro 400 MMC 10446 is currently away for repainted (likely at Hyde Road).


Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire

Stood down into the Seasonal Reserve Fleet for the Winter period are open top Tridents 17470, 18479 and 17502, although two are not expected to return to use next year if the open top conversion work is completed on Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse-Geminis 16957 and 16958.

Enviro 400 19572 has transferred from Birkenhead to Chester in exchange of Scania/Enviro 400 15596 whilst similar 15611 is back in the main fleet at Birkenhead.


Stagecoach Midlands

Dart SLF 34831 is now part of the main fleet allocation at Rugby. Trident 18151 at Northampton is being delicenced for repairs as is Enviro 200 36216 at Rugby.

Open Top Trident 18474 returned to service on the Stratford City Sightseeing tour following body repairs but along with 18471 was due to be stood down and delicenced for the winter season from the start of November 2021.

Another Enviro 200 MMC returned to Nuneaton, from Northampton, is 26220. Enviro 37060 has moved from Nuneaton to Rugby with 37068 being moved on loan from Rugby to Nuneaton. 37074 has transferred from Northampton to Leamington.

Transferred to Stagecoach North East are MAN/ Enviro 200s 39695 and 39696, which had been for disposal here.

Stagecoach North East

MAN/Enviro 200 39658 has returned to the main allocation at Hartlepool as a replacement for 39669 which has been withdrawn for disposal. Sold is MAN/East Lancs Kinetic 22510 to Alpha Recovery. Also sold is Scania Omnilink 24001.

Delicensed MAN/ALX300 22081 has been earmarked for driver training use. Open Top Tridents 17239, 17240 and 17643 have been placed into Winter Storage at South Shields.

Arrivals here from Stagecoach Yorkshire are Dart SLFs 35111/231/233/234/262, whilst from Stagecoach Midlands are MAN/Enviro 200s 39695/696. It is presumed that the MAN/Enviro 200s are for component recovery, with 39695 located at Sunderland and 39696 located at Hartlepool.


Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird)

Returned to Stagecoach East Scotland after a period on loan here is Volvo B13R 54103 whilst Reserve Fleet Mercedes-Benz Sprinters 44021/024 have transferred to Stagecoach South Wales.

Volvo B11R 54826 has returned to service at Elgin following repairs at Ferrymill Motors whilst Reserve Fleet Volvo B9R 53610 is now at Peterhead as a Paint Float vehicle.


Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands)

The 12.9m Volvo B8RLE/MCV eVoRa variants have now started to be delivered here for operation on Orkney. The first four delivered are 21369-372 (SJ71HHP/R/S/T). SJ71HMG (fleet number to be confirmed) stopped off at Stagecoach East’s Cambridge depot on 16th November 2021 during its delivery journey to Orkney.

Stagecoach South

A reduction in Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) at Worthing has seen Enviro 400 MMCs 10966-970; Enviro 300s 27679 and 27680 and Enviro 200 36057 transferred to the Reserve Fleet. Reserve Fleet Dart SLF 35260 at Worthing is now delicensed.

Enviro 400 MMC 10775 and Scania/Enviro 400 15989 now carry a Royal British Legion ‘Poppy Appeal’ variant of the new livery. Of note 15989 has also gained the registration plate 407 DCD. Enviro 200 36027 (which previously carried plate 407 DCD), has reverted to its original GX07HUU registration.

Repainted into Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery are Enviro 300s 27658 and 27660. A correction to a previous report about the repaint of Trident/ALX400 18521. It does carry Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery but there is no branding for Peter Symonds College.


Stagecoach South East

Repainted into a special red variant of the new Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery, to promote Demelza Children’s Hospice, is Enviro 400 MMC 10725. A number of vehicles here have recently received repaints Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery. These are Scania/Enviro 400s 15437 and 15443, Trident/ALX400 18167, Enviro 200 MMC 26232, Enviro 200s 36874, 36904 and 36906, and Optare Solos 47166 and 47681.

Scania/Enviro 400 MMC 15281 was transferred from Herne Bay to Hastings (after its appearance at the Stagecoach London Plumstead depot open day) on 30th October 2021 in exchange for Enviro 400 MMC 10724. Also exchanged have been Scania/Enviro 400 MMC 15262 (Herne Bay to Hastings) and Enviro 400 MMC 10722 (Hastings to Herne Bay). Enviro 400 19048 has moved to Eastbourne from Herne Bay.

Transfers are Enviro 400 MMC 10721 from Hastings to Herne Bay; Scania/Enviro 400 15771 from Eastbourne to Herne Bay; Dart SLF 34791 from Ashford to Hastings (replacing 34778 which has been stood down for repairs) and Scania/Enviro 400 MMCs 15261/262 from Herne Bay to Hastings. Dart SLF 34625 has transferred to the Reserve Fleet, whilst similar 34544 has been transferred to Ashford (replacing 34625).

Mercedes-Benz Sprinters 44019 and 44020 have gone on loan to Stagecoach East. Now returned to Stagecoach London are Scania Omnicity 15032 and 15034.

Stagecoach South Wales

Transferred here from Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird) are Mercedes-Benz Sprinters 44021 and 44024.

Repainted into Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery is Optare Solo SR 47974.


Stagecoach South West

The latest recipient of Stagecoach ‘Distance’ livery here is Scania/Enviro 400 15253.


Stagecoach UK Bus

As previously reported, number of vehicles from the Stagecoach LondonStagecoach ManchesterStagecoach East and Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire fleet went on loan to Stagecoach West Scotland/Stagecoach East Scotland during the COP26 Summit in Scotland. They were for use on shuttle services or to release other vehicles for the Shuttle operation. The vehicles from Stagecoach East were notable in that they carry Cambridge Park & Ride livery.

Stagecoach West

With thanks to Dave Russell and Deric Pemberton we can report the transfer of ADL Enviro 400 MMCs 10686 and 10687, along with Enviro 200 36109 from Oxford to Swindon.

Repainted into Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery is Scania/Enviro 400 15531, and Enviro 200s 36260, 36393 and 37239.

Expected to be withdrawn, after receiving substantial fire damage, is Enviro 200 37010.

Stagecoach West Scotland

Optare Solo 47496 at Ardrossan has been written off and replaced with Optare Solo SR 47836 which has been transferred from Kilmarnock.

Vehicles stood down for repairs during October/November 2021 have been ADL Enviro 400 MMC 10524 and Enviro 300s 27213/214/218 at Cumbernauld and Scania/Enviro 300 28657 at Ardrossan. Enviro 300 27513 at Cumbernauld is in the Reserve Fleet pending repaint and MOT.

Sold are Van Hool Astromegas 50236/239/243. MAN/ALX300 training bus 22407 has been re-licensed and has resumed training duties at Cumbernauld.


Stagecoach Yorkshire

Chesterfield now has four ADL Enviro 400H Hybrids on its books following the transfer of 12176/177/178/179 from Holbrook.

Departures have been Dart SLFs 35111, 35231, 35233, 35234 and 35262 to Stagecoach North East.
