East Yorkshire

Open Top Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse-Gemini 889-896 have now been delicensed for winter. Also delicensed are Transbus Enviro 300 271, 272, 273, and 275, and Enviro 200s 353, 355, 356, 357, 375, and 377 (all from Hull), and Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 673 and 681 (from Scarborough).

Transferred from Pocklington to Hull is Enviro 200 MMC 396, with Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse-Gemini 698, 699 and 700 moving from Hull to Scarborough.

Now sold out of this fleet is Volvo B7TL/ Plaxton President 682.


Megabus/Scottish Citylink

By early October 2021 only former Oxford Tube Van Hool Astromegas 50269 and 50274 were still at Stagecoach East Scotland’s Arbroath depot.

Scania/Caetano Levantes 59222-28 have all returned to the operational Megabus fleet with Stagecoach West at North Bristol.

Confirmation on the current location of 50268/270/271/272 would be welcomed.


Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire

Optare Versa training bus 25302 has gone on loan to Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire at Gilmoss.

Following the allocation of former Stagecoach Manchester Enviro 400MMCs 10618-625 to West Cumbria, similar 11150-154/156 were transferred from West Cumbria to Morecambe. Trident 18366 has transferred from Morecambe to West Cumbria allowing 18375 to move from West Cumbria to Carlisle as a replacement for Volvo B10M/Alexander PS saloon 20711 which has been withdrawn for disposal. Also now for disposal is Optare Solo 47133 from the Reserve Fleet.

Vehicles transferred to the Reserve Fleet are Dart SLFs 34565 and 34579 from Morecambe, and Optare Solo 47452 from West Cumbria.

Poppy-liveried Scania/Enviro 400 15683 has had a repaint and its branding refreshed.


Stagecoach East

Volvo B11R/elite coaches 54301 and 54318 were transferred to Stagecoach East Scotland during early October 2021.

The third repaint here into Stagecoach ‘Distance’ livery is Enviro 400MMC 10873, whilst repainted into Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery is Bedford-allocated Enviro 200 36935.

The remaining four Transbus Enviro 300s based at Bedford (27520-523) have transferred to Cambridge with Enviro 400s 19567/573/575/577 having moved from Cambridge to Bedford. Now in the Reserve Fleet and stored at Ely are Dart SLFs 34771/773, which had previously been at Cambridge as Paint Float vehicles. Transferred to the Reserve Fleet, from the main fleet at Fenstanton is Enviro 200 36061 whilst also now at Fenstanton is recently converted Enviro 200 training bus 36042.

Stagecoach East Midlands

Further repaints into Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery are Enviro 400s 19060, Enviro 300 27881, and Enviro 200s 36451 and 36523. A correction to Fleet Report 16th October 2021 is that MAN/Enviro 300 24197 has received the ‘Specialist’ livery for use on the Hull Park & Ride service (not ‘Local’ livery as reported).

Currently delicenced for an engine rebuild is Plaxton President-bodied Trident 18022 at Lincoln.

The company has confirmed that MAN/Enviro 300s 22571, 22573, and 22575 from Hull are due to be converted into driver training vehicles. Currently the training fleet comprises eight Dart SLFs.

MAN/Enviro 200 39693 has been painted all over green in preparation for use as a Covid vaccination vehicle.


Stagecoach East Scotland

Received here from Stagecoach East are Volvo B11R/elite 54301 and 54318. Former Stagecoach London short Enviro 200 36320, which had been on loan to Moffat and Williamson has now been sold to them.

Former Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands) Enviro 300 27590 is now a Marketing/Publicity vehicle here and is based at Arbroath. Reserve Fleet Optare Solo 47362 is now at Dunfermline replacing Optare Solo SR 47942 which has been stood down for repairs. Volvo B13Rs 54101 and 54129 from the Rennies operation are now in the Reserve Fleet.


Stagecoach London

Enviro 400 Hybrid 12283 and Enviro 400MMC Hybrid 12394 are both now both for disposal here. Scania Omnicitys 15024-029 remain in store here pending possible cascade within Stagecoach UK Bus.


Stagecoach Manchester

Reserve Fleet Enviro 300s 27824 and 27825 are being allocated to Wigan where they will allow MAN/Enviro 300s 22521 and 22582 to be stood down and moved to the Reserve Fleet.


Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire

Optare Versa training bus 25302 is on loan at Gilmoss from Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire.

Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse-Urbans 21256-262 have been stood down from the main fleet at Chester and moved to the Reserve Fleet, with 21260 stored at Gilmoss. Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse-Gemini 16958, due for conversion to open top over the winter period for Chester Sightseeing is currently parked at Gilmoss. Similar, 16957 is being converted to open top by Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire and is also for the Chester Sightseeing operation.

Repainted into ‘Local’ livery here is Dart SLF 34810 which is due to join the training fleet and receive driver training branding.

Scania/Enviro 400 15588 is a transfer from Chester to Gilmoss and Enviro 300 27294 from Birkenhead to Gilmoss. Now in the Reserve Fleet from Birkenhead is Scania/Enviro 400 15611, whilst Enviro 200s 36806/807/808/819 have transferred from Birkenhead to Chester. Withdrawn vehicles sold are Trident 18382; Dart SLFs 34808/809/811/812/820 and Optare Solos 47129/219/220/221/327/332/334/709/711/712/714.

The Omnibus Society NW&Y Branch reports that ‘Poppy’-liveried Enviro 400 MMC 10569 is currently on loan at Preston (from Gilmoss) with Scania/Enviro 400 15473 moving from Preston to Gilmoss in return.


Stagecoach Midlands

Following fitment of a new engine, Trident 18404 has returned to service at Northampton.

Enviro 200 37068 has been transferred to Nuneaton from Rugby, and similar 37058 and 37061 have moved from Nuneaton to Northampton, whilst returned to Nuneaton (from Northampton) are ‘Gold’ specification Enviro 200 MMCs 26205, 26206, and 26220.

Currently being repainted are Enviro 200s 36154 (at Nuneaton) and 36216 (at Rugby).

Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird)

Optare Solo 47585 from the Reserve Fleet is now for disposal.


Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands)

The Volvo B8R/MCV eVoRa vehicles that were seen at Volvo, Ely, Cambridgeshire were 10.8m examples and are allocated fleet numbers 39501-505 (SJ71HHG/K/L/M/N). They are due to be allocated to Orkney.

Transfers from Aviemore to Inverness are Trident 18337 and Enviro 400 19031. Reserve Fleet Enviro 300s back in main fleets are 27589 at Kirkwall and 27597 at Tain with 27596 transferred from Tain to the Reserve Fleet. Also now in the Reserve Fleet are Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 44027, Enviro 200 36070, Volvo B7R 53334 and Volvo B13R 54127. Volvo B9R 53607 has transferred from Thurso to Kirkwall.

Stagecoach South

Now sold out of this fleet are Volvo B7TL/East Lancs Vykings 16933 and 16935, whilst similar 16931 and 16932 have been demoted to the Reserve Fleet at Chichester.

Portsmouth Scania/Enviro 400 15992, along with Chichester allocated Enviro 400 19886, have received the ‘Coastliner 700’ branded Stagecoach ‘Distance’ livery, whilst Winchester allocated Trident 18521 has received the Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery and carries branding for Peter Symonds College.

Tridents 18516/517/518 have transferred from Portsmouth to Chichester whilst 18081 has returned to the main fleet at Basingstoke. Now in the Reserve Fleet are Enviro 200 36840 from Basingstoke; Enviro 300s 27570 and 27561 along with Dart SLF 34631 at Chichester, and from Winchester Tridents 18078 and 18118 along with Dart SLF 35120.

Driver training MAN/Enviro 300 22741 is on loan to Stagecoach South West at Exeter.


Stagecoach South East

Reserve Fleet Tridents 17734 and 18080 along with Optare Solo 47112 have been reinstated to the main fleet at Ashford where Optare Solos 47117, 47661 and 47669 are currently out of use for repairs.

Reserve Fleet Trident 18074 has been allocated to Thanet and Optare Solo 47374 is now back in service at Dover. Trident 18169 from Thanet has been stood down for repairs whilst at Dover Dart SLF 34438 has transferred to the Reserve Fleet. Transferred from Hastings to Herne Bay, Enviro 400MMC 10725 has been painted in all-over white suggesting that it is due to receive a special livery or all-over branding.

Vehicles sold here are Tridents 17585/587/590 and Dart SLF 34488.

Stagecoach South Wales

We understand that former Stagecoach East Optare Solo 47891 has been taken out of service here and has been sold.


Stagecoach South West

On loan at Exeter from Stagecoach South is driver training MAN/Enviro 300 22741.

Dart SLF 35134 is now for disposal here.

Repainted into Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery is Trident 18395.

Stagecoach West

With thanks to Dave Russell & Deric Pemberton we can now report that now in the operational fleet at Swindon are Dart SLF 34564 and Trident 18312 from Stroud; Enviro 200s 36131 and 36133 from Cheltenham along with Reserve Fleet Dart SLF 34843.

At Stroud Optare Solos 47555 and 47556 have been stood down into the Reserve Fleet and also in Reserve at Stroud are similar 47550/52 from Cheltenham. Now in the Reserve Fleet at Gloucester is Enviro 300 27517 whilst at North Bristol Reserve Fleet Trident 18087 is now in the main fleet.

At Banbury Reserve Fleet Dart SLF 34471 is back in the main fleet whilst Reserve Fleet Dart SLF 34832 has left Banbury and is now at Oxford. After a period stored at Witney, Dart SLF 34618 has returned to Banbury. Theo Freeman has advised us that at Banbury Enviro 400 10067 and Enviro 200 36763 have returned to service following major repairs with the Enviro 200 now carrying the name ‘Tony Ford’ after a former depot employee.

Now repainted into Stagecoach ‘Local’ livery is Enviro 200 36381.


Stagecoach West Scotland

MAN/Enviro 300s 24183-188 are being taken out of service here and are due for cascade to Stagecoach Yorkshire.

Inter-depot transfers are of MAN/Enviro 300s 24189/190 from Kilmarnock to Stranraer, with Enviro 200s 36143/144 moving from Stranraer to Dumfries. Also moving to Stranraer (from Dumfries) is former Stagecoach London short Enviro 200 36332.

Vehicles now in the Reserve Fleet here are Enviro 300 27885 and Scania Enviro 300 28705 at Kilmarnock; Optare Solo 47459 at Dumfries; Volvo B9R 53723 at Arran; Enviro 300s 27225/614/615/720/772, Enviro 200s 36701/702/741 and Volvo B11R 54339 at Ayr. Van Hool Astromegas 50285/286 are out of service for repairs at Kilmarnock whilst similar 50281 is now in the Reserve Fleet there following its return from repaint.

Volvo 7900ev 29305/306 are now allocated to Kilmarnock whilst Enviro 300 27228 is now back on the main allocation at Ayr following repairs.


Stagecoach Yorkshire

Due here from Stagecoach West Scotland are MAN/Enviro 300s 24183-188.

Scania/East Lancs Omnidekka 15414, which has received roof damage, is now for disposal. Scania/Enviro 400 15708 has returned to service at Ecclesfield following repairs. Now stood down for repairs and delicensed are Scania/Enviro 400 15826 (at Chesterfield), Enviro 400 19036 (at Ecclesfield) and Enviro 200s 36986 and 36987 (at Rawmarsh).


Wellglade Group

Trent Barton ‘the threes’ branded Optare Versa 821 (YJ12 PKD), which had been long term off the road for repairs, has now been withdrawn.
